Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) Manufacturer Accreditation Scheme is Launched

The Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) Manufacturer Accreditation Scheme (the Scheme), introduced by BTRi on 15 November 2024, is a strategic initiative aimed at elevating the standards and reliability of MiC modules. The Scheme ensures that participating manufacturers adhere to rigorous production processes and quality benchmarks, reinforcing trust and professionalism within the industry. The Scheme plays a crucial role in driving innovation and supporting the broader adoption of MiC technology, positioning Hong Kong as a leader in advanced construction methods. 

By leveraging Chinese Mainland's robust manufacturing base, it promotes strong collaboration and synergy between Hong Kong and regional stakeholders, boosting efficiency and competitiveness in the construction sector. The initiative also facilitates the use of high-quality, cost-effective building materials and aligns with both international and national standards. Through full and provisional certificate options, the Scheme provides flexibility while maintaining strict oversight to ensure that accredited manufacturers consistently deliver superior MiC modules, strengthening the industry's growth and fostering a shared framework for excellence across the Greater Bay Area.
