BTRi Attends HKCMA X CARES Seminar to Share Product Certification Scheme for Rebar (PCSR)

On 11 November 2025, BTRi was invited to attend the thematic seminar “Reinforcing Sustainability and Standards in Green Construction”, co-organised by the Hong Kong Construction Materials Association (HKCMA) and CARES.

Ir WONG Kwok-fai, Alfred, Chief Executive Officer of BTRi, delivered a presentation titled “Spearheading Construction Innovation”, which shared BTRi’s latest studies and progress on the Product Certification Scheme for Rebar (PCSR) and the adoption of high-strength rebar (Grade 600 or above) in Hong Kong. These initiatives are effective in achieving cost-effectiveness and long-term sustainability for the construction industry by enhancing site utilisation, shortening construction duration, and reducing wastage.
