Review on Wind Actions Imposed on Noise Enclosures under Second Phase Development of Yuen Long South New Development Area
Commissioned By:
Project Overview:
The project, commissioned by the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) and conducted by the Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) with support from The Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). The study will involve computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulations and Wind Tunnel Test to analyze the surrounding flow field and surface pressure, with the aim of determining suitable wind load coefficients for design purposes.
Key Achievement:
To derive wind loadings more precisely in order to optimise the design of the noise barrier in a more economical manner.
