Feasibility Study of Using Recycled Water in Cooling Towers
Commissioned By:
Project Overview:
BTRi was engaged by Water Supplies Department (WSD) to carry out the feasibility study of supplying the Reverse Osmosis (“RO”)-treated recycled water to private cooling towers.
Key Achievement:
The project has delivered a comprehensive proposal confirming the technical feasibility of using RO-treated recycled water supplied by WSD in private cooling towers as the cooling agent, outlining a clear implementation pathway, and facilitating a pilot application— by providing key technical support for Hong Kong's recycled water initiative for private cooling towers.
