Meeting with the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye: Exploring Collaboration Opportunities in Building Technology
On 2 March 2026, BTRi welcomed the Commercial Attaché from the Consulate General of the Republic of Türkiye for a knowledge exchange on how Hong Kong and Türkiye can collaborate to establish an innovation ecosystem in the construction industry and create mutual value.
During the meeting, BTRi outlined an overview of its positioning and key initiatives, including the ongoing development of Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) in Hong Kong, and introduced how Modular Integrated Construction Manufacturer Accreditation Scheme (MiC-MAS) supports accredited manufacturers in exploring overseas opportunities. In addition, BTRi introduced the Construction Product Accreditation Scheme (CPAS), which offers accreditation for quality products and provides more cost effective solutions in both the Hong Kong and Türkiye markets.
BTRi also connected its Innovation Partner - i2Cool, with the Commercial Attaché to discuss the potential applications of its electricity-free cooling technology in Türkiye’ built environment.
Constructive dialogue is the first step towards meaningful collaboration, and both parties look forward to staying connected and exploring shared opportunities.
