BTRi Shares’ Vision at the HKTDC Infrastructure Development Advisory Committee

On 22 April 2026, the Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) was invited to present at the Infrastructure Development Advisory Committee meeting was pleased to be invited to the Infrastructure Development Advisory Committee meeting convened by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), outlining BTRi’s mission and its role in advancing construction innovation in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area (GBA).

The Advisory Committee brings together senior leaders from across the infrastructure and construction sectors to exchange perspectives on industry trends, challenges and opportunities. BTRi’s Chief Executive Officer, Ir WONG Kwok-fai, Alfred, delivered a presentation titled “Advancing Interconnectivity, Innovation and Integrated Development in the Greater Bay Area,” highlighting BTRi’s core functions in applied R&D, standards advancement and accreditation, as well as its strategic efforts in formulating GBA construction standards and supporting Mainland enterprises to go global through Hong Kong as a platform.

Building on strong government support and growing industry engagement, BTRi remains committed to working closely with industry stakeholders to strengthen Hong Kong's position as a strategic hub for building technology and drive construction innovation and integrated development in the GBA and beyond.
