BTRi led four Hong Kong universities and construction technology research institutions in participating in the 10th Belt and Road Summit
From September 10 to 11 2025, The Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) led four Hong Kong universities and construction technology research institutions - including the Hong Kong Centre for Construction Robotics (HKCRC), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University Chinese National Engineering Research Centre for Steel Construction (Hong Kong Branch), i2Cool, and the Nano and Advanced Materials Institute (NAMI) to participate in the 10th Belt and Road Summit, showcasing a range of innovative construction technologies.
Ir Wong Kwok-fai, Alfred, CEO of BTRi, was invited to speak at a thematic breakout session titled “Charting a Green Silk Road with Innovative Building Technologies for Global Opportunities”, where he shared insight into how BTRi is transforming construction innovation into a key driver for development. BTRi will continue to strengthen collaboration with the Greater Bay Area and countries along the Belt and Road, fully leveraging Hong Kong's role as a "super connector" and "super value-adder" in construction innovation.
