The Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) delegation concluded its five-day visit to Australia, extending its dialogue to regional Victoria and reaffirming its role in advancing overseas opportunities for Modular Integrated Construction (MiC).

On 16 July 2026, the delegation held exchange sessions with multiple Victorian Councils, including Greater Geelong City Council, Ballarat City Council, Swan Hill Rural City Council, and Warrnambool City Council, during which the delegation gained an overview of the development potential, housing plans, land availability, and development priorities of Victoria’s regions. The delegation also met with experts from Deakin University and engaged in a dialogue on MiC technology.

On 17 July 2026, the delegation participated in the Australia China Business Council (ACBC) Victoria Property Forum, where BTRi Chief Executive Officer, Ir Wong Kwok-fai, Alfred, delivered a keynote presentation on Hong Kong’s journey and success factors in promoting MiC, as well as BTRi’s current role and future ambitions in further promoting the MiC.
