Unlocking MiC's Potential in the Private Projects: BTRi Visits the Temple Street MiC Project
On 24 April 2026, the Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) visited a private residential development project at Temple Street that adopts Modular Integrated Construction (MiC) technology. The project serves as an exemplary demonstration of how MiC can effectively address limited space and complex site constraints that are commonly encountered by private developments in Hong Kong. It successfully showcases the capability of MiC technology in delivering high construction quality and enhanced efficiency in private development projects.
Professional exchanges during the visit emphasized the critical role of industry knowledge exchange and capability building in advancing MiC technology. BTRi will continue to proactively drive innovation in MiC through applied research, standards advancement, and close industry collaboration, while facilitating its wider adoption across both public and private projects in Hong Kong.
