Shenzhen Government Officials Visit Hong Kong for In-depth Exchange with BTRi on Construction Digitalisation and GBA Standards Advancement

On 25 June 2026, the Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) was invited to serve as a sharing guest at the "Greater Bay Area (GBA) Urban Planning, Construction and Governance Capacity Enhancement" thematic enrichment programme, engaging in in-depth exchanges with a delegation of Shenzhen government officials on key topics including construction digitalisation and standards formulation, jointly promoting the synergised development of the construction industry in the GBA. 

The exchange was jointly organised by the Organization Department of the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee, the Public Works Bureau of Shenzhen Municipality, and the Vocational Training Council Hong Kong. It aimed to enable the delegation to understand more on Hong Kong's experience in developing smart and green cities under the GBA development blueprint, thereby further promoting Shenzhen-Hong Kong collaboration. 

Looking ahead, BTRi will continue to serve as a super connector between Shenzhen and Hong Kong, actively establishing platforms for Shenzhen-Hong Kong collaboration, and deepening collaboration between Shenzhen and Hong Kong in areas such as construction standards, technological innovation, and digital transformation, jointly promoting the high-quality development of the GBA construction industry.
