Driving Regional Collaboration: Advancing GBA Standards with Macau and Guangdong Partners

On 28 May 2026, the Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) engaged in a strategic dialogue with the Civil Engineering Laboratory of Macau (LECM) and the Guangdong Provincial Academy of Building Research. The tripartite meeting explored potential collaboration opportunities in the development of Greater Bay Area (GBA) standards - an important enabler for greater cross-boundary technology adoption and quality assurance. 

The parties shared insights on their respective roles and explored potential pathways toward collaborative standards development. This forms part of BTRi's ongoing efforts to strengthen regional connectivity and advance robust, practical standards that support innovation, high quality, and consistent practices across the sector. 

BTRi remains committed to deepening these partnerships to help position the GBA as a leading hub for advanced construction technologies, while shaping a more integrated and innovative construction landscape across the region.
