BTRi Attends the HKICM/HKCA Joint Conference 2026 to Share Transforming Construction Productivity Through Innovation

On 23 January 2026, the Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) was invited to attend the HKICM/HKCA Joint Conference 2026, co-organised by the Hong Kong Institute of Construction Managers and the Hong Kong Construction Association.

Ir WONG Kwok-fai, Alfred, Chief Executive Officer of BTRi, delivered a speech titled “Transforming Construction Productivity Through Innovation”. He shared how innovations in construction materials, methods, and technologies can bring real-life impact to the construction industry. He emphasised the critical role of establishing new standards and accreditation and certification schemes to accelerate the adoption of innovation and catalyse a step-change transformation in productivity.

Moving forward, by formulating the Greater Bay Area construction standards, BTRi will continue to act as the “Super Connector” and “Super Value-adder” and reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a regional leader in construction innovation.
