Launch of the First Local Technical Guidelines and Particular Specification for Structural Use of UHPC

Building Technology Research Institute (BTRi) proudly participated in the “Future-Ready Infrastructure: Recent Focus on Innovative Cementitious Composites and Sustainable Construction” conference, a key gathering for the field on 12 December 2025.

In addition to sharing frontier research and applications of innovative cementitious materials, this event celebrated a major advancement in local standards: the launch of the first local technical guidelines and particular specification for structural use of Ultra-High Performance Concrete (UHPC). These two publications, developed jointly by the Civil Engineering and Development Department (CEDD) and BTRi, were announced by Mr Michael Fong Hok-shing, Director of CEDD, and Mr HON Chi-keung, Chairperson of BTRi, to an audience of over 300 industry participants."
