Project Overview:
To save precious fresh water resources, BTRi was engaged by Water Supplies Department (WSD) to carry out the feasibility study of using the recycled water further processed by reverse osmosis treatment and hypo-chlorination (RO-treated recycled water) supplied by WSD as a cooling agent in private cooling towers.
Key achievement:
BTRi has conducted studies and provided the working papers giving an account of the details of the proposal of supplying RO-treated recycled water by WSD to private cooling towers as the cooling agent, including establishing technical feasibility, proposing way forward and facilitating pilot application in a real project.
